Geospatial World Forum
The Racurs company took part in the Geospatial World Forum, the international exhibition and conference that was held on January 18–21 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, India.
The Racurs products were on display at the pavilion of the company’s partner in India, the Navayuga Spatial Technologies.
The conference is held in this format second time by GIS Development, the company known as the provider of annual exhibitions Map Asia, Map Middle East, Map Africa, Map India, GeoIntelligence.
This year, about 60 companies have taken part in the forum, including key players of the global geoinformation market, i.e. GeoEye, Spot Infoterra, Digital Globe, ESRI, Bentley, Leica, Optech, Trimble, Fugro, COWI, ERDAS, Rapid Eye, etc. Russian technologies were also represented at the exhibition by ScanEx products.
At the exhibition stand, the Racurs specialists were presenting the version 5.1 of the PHOTOMOD software, including the whole range of totally new opportunities, e.g., development of ‘dense’ terrain models, support of graphic processor (CUDA), which attracted significant visitors’ attention.
Currently, 10 companies and organizations in India use PHOTOMOD, including well-known industrial companies like COWI, Speck Systems, MapWorld Technologies, as well as the National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) and some educational institutions.
The demonstration of the new 5.1 version will surely deliver additional impulse for promoting the PHOTOMOD system in India and will attract new customers.
